As time goes by you will notice that each week brings slight differences in our rules and procedures. This is in response to updated guidelines handed down from DCFS, IDPH, and the CDC. Each time guidelines come down we look at what we are currently doing and add any new rules that are given to us. If there is a loosening in any existing rules we look at it and decide if we are comfortable with the new rule or if we feel safer staying with the higher standards. The health and safety of our children and staff are always the determining factors for us.
Going forward some changes you will see are that we are no longer required to take and record parent temperatures but the trade-off is that we have to make sure to stay socially distanced from parents as they drop off and pick up. You will also notice that we have been able to transition from separate “school” shoes to sanitizing the shoes the children arrive in prior to them entering the center, no more changing shoes!! Lastly, we are now able to increase our capacity at each center although group sizes remain smaller than they were before COVID. This has matched up nicely with more families being ready to return in July. If you have not yet set a return date please contact your director to make sure you are on the list since we cannot go back to our original capacity it is very important for you to communicate your childcare needs to us.
If you have decided to drop out of group care for awhile just let us know and we can arrange for you to pick up any belonging your child left at school in March and know that you will always be welcome back at TTLC when you are ready. One thing that will never change is the care, education, and FUN that we are committed to providing to all of our children.
