April 6, 2020
As we enter our third, yes third, week of shutdown under the statewide Stay at Home order I wanted to touch base with you and let you know that we’re still hard at work here at Toddle Towne Learning Centers. Although we cannot open to provide care and our teachers are safe at home, the directors and I are making sure that the buildings are safe and secure, essential paperwork is completed, we are communicating with staff and preparing for the day when we are all together again.
Part of preparing for that day is ensuring the financial stability of our schools and to that end, we have been busy researching all of the help available to small businesses during this unprecedented crisis. I am very proud to say that we have already managed to put together a combination of available state assistance funds, reallocated some of our operating expenses and deferred some planned company expenses to allow us to keep paying all of our teachers through the end of April.
We are currently working to ensure that if, heaven forbid; we are shut down past April 30th that we are able to continue to pay our staff for the duration of the shutdown. Beyond that, we are ensuring that we have adequate operating capital so that as soon as we get the green light we are ready to hit the ground running and immediately begin providing quality care and education to all of our children.
I hope that all of you are safe and healthy and I encourage you all to strictly adhere to the Stay at Home order so that we can interrupt the spread of this terrible virus and get back to “normal” life. As always if you need help in any way check the resource section on our website or contact us and we will do everything we can to assist you. I can’t wait to see all of the children’s smiling faces soon.
